Get the stairlift and landing layout right
The main survey question is how the person gets on, travels and gets off at each end. Mention whether a helper needs to remain beside the rider during transfers.
Ask for an explanation of the parked chair and rail position, not only the travel path. If the staircase turns, have the quote identify the complete route and required equipment. If access is needed at an exterior entry, show what happens after the rider leaves the seat. A lift that reaches the landing still needs to leave a usable route into the home.

NewDay’s Manatee County page also names Bradenton, Palmetto, Lakewood Ranch, Parrish and other communities, while asking customers to confirm availability.
Use those service claims to request an address-specific answer. Ask where the technician comes from, how return visits are scheduled, and whether travel is included in the warranty or billed separately. If you want to try equipment, confirm the working model before travelling to any branch. The presence of other mobility products does not establish a stairlift demonstration of the configuration proposed for your house.

NewDay publishes a $3,890 straight-installation promotion. Before using it as a budget, ask which model and rail length are included and what changes the price. Separate building repairs, electrical preparation and optional features. A custom or outdoor design should have its own proposal; the reviewed promotion does not establish a universal installed price for Bradenton homes.
For temporary use, NewDay advertises rentals and buy-back for equipment its team installs, while 101’s national rental catalog includes stairlifts. Ask for the local contract, minimum term, service coverage and removal charge. If a buy-back is discretionary, calculate ownership cost without assuming that payment. An advertised program does not confirm current inventory or a guaranteed collection date.

The city’s SHIP funding notice explicitly includes accessibility barrier removal. It gives an application window of September 25, 2026 to June 30, 2027 and says special-needs households receive priority. As checked October 17, 2026, this is a current published route for a city homeowner to ask about the work, rather than an old notice being presented as newly available funding.
Ask the Housing and Community Development staff to confirm the property boundary, current allocation, household requirements and whether a stairlift is an eligible response to the barrier. The notice provides a contact number of 941-932-9400, extension 464. Do not order equipment on the assumption of reimbursement; obtain the program’s direction about assessment, procurement and approval before committing to private work.

Manatee County’s rehabilitation/replacement page states that applications are closed. Its published geography is unincorporated Manatee County or the City of Palmetto, and its assistance is a zero-interest deferred loan with a twenty-year term and conditions for forgiveness. Those rules differ from Bradenton’s city notice and should not be merged into a single countywide promise.
A Bradenton mailing address may still need jurisdiction checking before either office can advise. If your home falls outside the city, ask the county about current status or other referrals; if it is inside, begin with the city program. In either case, a home-repair category does not guarantee a particular stairlift, installer, timetable or award. Keep the installation quote and funding decision as separate documents.
