Hello Upstairs

How we compare providers

Our job is to make the practical details easier to see. The final decision—and the final quote—belong in your conversation with the provider.

We start with the provider’s own information.

For local listings, we look for official pages describing the equipment and service area. We record the source links and the date the published information was checked. “Source checked” means a published claim was reviewed; it does not mean the provider was inspected or its service quality independently verified.

We compare what changes the decision.

For rentals, that includes the equipment, price basis, delivery, setup, pickup, and minimum term. For stairlifts, it includes installer coverage, product options, published price guidance, and service arrangements. We flag missing details instead of filling them with assumptions.

We do not rank by commission.

Listings are an editorial starting selection, not a complete directory or a best-to-worst ranking. The current order follows the research collection. We include providers without paid relationships. A commercial arrangement, if added, will be disclosed and will not turn an unsupported claim into a verified fact.

Our comparisons have limits.

We have not booked every provider, tested the listed equipment, confirmed live inventory, or inspected installations. Prices can change. A service-area statement may not cover an exact address on a particular day. Follow the source and request a current written quote.

Local detail earns a local page.

Each local comparison needs multiple relevant providers, source-backed service details, and a useful reason to compare them. We group nearby communities into a metro guide when the options are substantially the same.
